Kidney and Heart Recipient

2006 when I was 14 years old I had seven grand mal seizures. I was sent to the hospital in complete kidney failure. After a long road of testing, I was blessed that my uncle, John Staub, was able to be a living kidney donor on June 27, 2007. I still have Bob (my kidney) to this day.

Unfortunately, in 2015 I went to the hospital with chest pains which was diagnosed as a heart attack. I was transferred to Norton Hospital for them to correct the diagnosis to cardiomyopathy. I continued to decline until February 24, 2021. I was told it was not safe to be at home anymore and would have to remain in the hospital until I received a Heart Transplant.

On March 1, 2021 by the grace of God I received that gift. My angel is unknown. Many thanks to those that are selfless enough to be organ donors. Because of one “yes” I have the opportunity to continue to watch my two sons grow.

Save a life be an organ donor.
