I have been blessed with great health. I know it is unusual to be a donor at 61 but i was accepted. Two years later I am in perfect health and would do it again- no regrets. I wanted my sister-in-law to be able to live and enjoy her grandchildren like i do mine. She was able to welcome her first grand child just months ago.
Everyone should consider the children and grandchildren of the those who need organs. The person who received mine in the chain said my children wanted me to tell you they appreciate what you did so much. It made it worth any discomfort I had.
As a retired teacher of 32 years I say-
Donate for the children and the grandchildren- it’s the right thing to do!
