Jacob- Donor

Jacob Lucas was a 21-year-old Letcher County native who passed away in a car accident in 2013. Jacob provided the Gift of Life to many recipients, as he made the decision to register as an organ donor at a young age. Jacob saw firsthand the impact that donation made to him and his family when his Grandfather, Dan Lucas was given a second chance at life through a heart transplant. Jacob’s family finds comfort in knowing his legacy lives on each day. The family has made it their mission to raise awareness around the importance of organ donation and to share Jacobs’s story of courage and heroism.
