Drew- Donor

While our family and friends were in the hospital room with Drew, it made us realize just how precious life truly is.  Knowing Drew like we knew him, he thought life was precious too because he gave six other people a second chance at it.

We really weren’t that surprised when we found out Drew had signed his driver’s license to be an organ donor.  Our parents and grandparents instilled in all of us the importance of helping others in whatever way we could.

Knowing that Drew gave six families the chance to have more time with their loved ones makes our family so proud of Drew and the decision he made to pass along the most precious gift a person can give or receive, the gift of life.

This is written on Drew’s headstone: Because we knew you, our lives have been changed for the better.
