When I think of the importance of organ donation, I think of my wonderful friend Tom Grantz. There was no one more passionate about Trust For Life than Tom. He wore the shirts, attended every event, spoke to countless people about organ donation, walked the walk, and talked the talk. Tom made sure that everyone around him knew how important it is to be an organ donor. Sadly, my dear friend Tom passed away in August of 2024, but was thankfully able to donate his corneas to someone in need of them. Tom inspired me to follow in his footsteps, and make sure that Calloway County has the most passionate Trust For Life volunteer in the state of Kentucky. In all of my time around Tom, he taught me that the precious gift of life should be awarded to everyone. Period
