Kentucky Continued to Break Records in 2020

(LOUISVILLE, KY, Jan. 19, 2021) – Despite a global pandemic, Kentucky has once again broken the record of saving and enhancing lives facilitating over 1,000 heroic organ, tissue, and cornea donors in 2020.  The nonprofit organ procurement organization and their hardworking staff supported more donor families’ decisions than ever before — 178 deceased organ donors resulted in 535 organs being transplanted, which translates to over 500 lives saved, and 575 tissue donors generously healed thousands of lives with their gifts.  This marks a 30%…

Jeff Jones has served as Daviess County Coroner for the past 10 years. Born and raised in Daviess County, Kentucky, he graduated from Owensboro Catholic High School and attended Eastern Kentucky University.   Jeff began his career as a patrol deputy with the Daviess County Sheriff’s Office in 1985, and in 1994 was re-assigned as a Detective within the Sheriff’s Office. Calloway Deputy Clerk receives Platinum Level Award from Donate Life Kentucky

Calloway County Deputy Clerk, Tom Grantz, has been honored for his volunteer efforts in promoting the mission of helping others through organ and tissue donation. Grantz was among fifteen Donate Life Ambassadors honored at a special dinner. The Platinum Award signifies the number of hours a volunteer has spent spreading the mission.
