Kentucky Organ Donor Affiliates (KODA) and the Kentucky Circuit Court Clerks’ Trust for Life (TFL) Announce Date for “Gift of Life” Summit 2019

The Summit will take place in Lexington on April 25

(LEXINGTON – March 12, 2019) – The “Gift of Life” Summit event will be held on Thursday, April 25, in Lexington, Ky., at the Embassy Suites. The Summit celebrates saving lives through organ donation and healing lives through tissue donation.

“This is a brand-new opportunity for KODA and TFL to meet and greet with hospital partners, Circuit Clerks, Coroners, volunteers from around our service area,” said Shelley Snyder, KODA’s Vice President for Strategic Partnerships and TFL Executive Director. “It will be a day filled with inspirational stories and education – as we gather to celebrate National Donate Life Month and say THANK YOU for all the excellent work our key partners do each, and every day.”


The “Gift of Life” Summer will run from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Embassy Suites, 1801 Newtown Pike in Lexington.  Registration opens at 9 a.m.  Registration is required.  The day will start with keynote speaker Jason Schechterle; an Arizona Police Officer burned in the line of duty which resulted in a lifesaving tissue transplant and author.   During lunch, an awards ceremony will be held honoring top coroners, platinum volunteers, outstanding hospitals and “Legendary” Circuit Clerk awards. Attendees will have an opportunity for breakout training followed by prizes and a send-off beginning at 1:30 p.m.

The cost is $30.  The registration deadline is April 11, 2019, and space is limited. The public can register via the website: http://bit.ly/golsummit. There is a set of rooms blocked off for the Summit, and you must register by March 25 to receive the group rate or $139.95.
