Elaine and Henry Fischer Give $30,000 to Transplant Patients in Need

Elaine and Henry Fischer of Fischer Homes pledged $30,000 to KY Circuit Clerks’ Trust For Life’s (TFL) Satterwhite Patient Assistance Fund.

On Friday, January 22, Fischer presented a check to KODA+TFL Philanthropy Officer and Donor Mother Shannon Adkins at one of their model homes at Bridle Run.

“Fischer Homes Louisville Division is proud to assist patients in need. The mission is very personal, as one of our very own has been impacted by the mission of organ donation and transplantation. Through this donation given by Elaine and Henry Fischer, we are proud to partner with Trust For Life to provide avenues of hope for all, ” said Charmaine Powell, Fischer Homes Sales Manager

The $30,000 financial contribution comes after a record year of Satterwhite financial requests.

The Satterwhite Patient Assistance fund was founded for the sole purpose of helping Kentucky transplanted patients who have fallen on financial hardships. This fund allows TFL to help others protect the most precious gift one can receive, the gift of a second chance at life.  With the help of Henry and Elaine Fischer, TFL will continue to grow this fund to help our Kentucky patients.

“This past year has served as a powerful reminder that kindness, compassion and generosity are always important, and that serving our fellow citizens is one of our highest duties,” said David L. Nicholson, Jefferson County Circuit Court Clerk. “Echoing the sentiments of so many others across Kentucky, I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to Elaine and Henry Fischer for their outstanding gift to the Kentucky Circuit Clerks’ Trust For Life and thank them for their leadership giving. This donation, will assist many Kentucky organ transplant recipients with their financial obligations after receiving their precious gift of life,” said David L. Nicholson, Jefferson County Circuit Court Clerk.
